The Glam plastic champagne flutes in two lines
The Glam is a 110ml stemmed flute in clear Tritan, with a narrow, slender bowl and a wide foot. It is sold in packs of six. Goldplast declares it unbreakable and washable up to 350 times in the dishwasher.
The flute is 19.2cm tall, with a 5cm rim and a 7cm foot. It weighs 50.3g.
Who it is for
For venues and hotels that serve prosecco away from the bar: the aperitivo on the terrace, the welcome drink by the pool, the wedding toast on the lawn. A thin glass flute is the glass that breaks most often, because it is tall, light and passes from hand to hand.
For caterers and event agencies, who serve a hundred toasts in a few minutes and count the flutes at the end of the night. With the Glam the one that falls is picked up and goes back in the rack.
At home they are the flutes for New Year’s Eve in the garden and for parties with a lot of guests.
The shape of the Glam flute
The Glam has the narrow, tall bowl that closes towards the bottom, the classic flute shape for sparkling wine: the surface of the wine is small, the carbon dioxide escapes slowly and the bubbles last. The long stem keeps the hand away from the wine, which stays cold for longer.
110ml brim-full is the size of a glass of prosecco served at the bar or at the table, an 80 or 90ml pour with room so as not to spill.
Tritan
Tritan is the material for plastic flutes that have to stay as clear as glass. Goldplast declares it BPA free, washable up to 350 times in the dishwasher, from -20 to +100°C, fridge safe: the flutes can be kept in the fridge and served cold. It does not go in the microwave or the oven.
Goldplast declares the flute compliant with the European regulations on materials in contact with food (Regulation (EU) 1935/2004 and 10/2011), suitable for all food types and for repeated use.

Serving prosecco
With a small flute the glass is served full and looks generous, and a 750ml bottle gives eight or nine serves. A spritz or a cocktail with bubbles needs a larger glass: the Glam is made for sparkling wine served on its own.
The pack of six
The flutes are counted in packs: four are 24 flutes, the toast for a small ceremony. Each flute comes in its own bag, six bags to a carton. A reorder is the same item with the same code.

Care
In the dishwasher, as the maker indicates. No microwave and no oven. By hand, a soft bottle brush reaches the bottom of the bowl.
