The mug jigger in two lines
The Lumian mug jigger is a 60ml measure, or 2oz, made like a miniature Moscow Mule mug: rounded body, rolled rim, handle on the side. It is 4.6cm tall, 4.5cm across and weighs 45g. It comes in two finishes: copper plated with a gold handle, or black plated with a silver handle. Lumian also lists it as a shot glass.
Who it is for
For bars that serve the Moscow Mule and other bucks in copper mugs and want the measure to match: the mug jigger sits next to the full-size mug on the bar top and the guest sees them together. It also suits venues that sell shots, where the shot glass is often the least considered item of the serve: here the measure and the serve are the same piece, with nothing poured across, and the guest gets a small mug instead of the usual glass.
The handle has a practical side. A double-cone jigger is held between the fingers, which get wet with every pour; the mug jigger is held by the handle, so the hand stays dry through pour after pour.
At home it is the measure for anyone who makes Moscow Mules in copper mugs and wants the set to match, and a shot glass for evenings with friends. As a gift it goes on display, not in the drawer.

How to use the mug jigger
As a measure: fill it to the brim and pour into the shaker, the mixing glass or straight into the serving glass. It gives one measure only, a full 60ml. For 15, 22.5 or 45ml you need a graduated jigger; the mug jigger works where the spec calls for 60ml of one ingredient, or where the shot is served.
As a shot glass: pour, take it to the guest on a saucer or coaster, and clear it afterwards. The handle lets you pick it up without touching the rim, which is where the guest drinks from.

Which finish
Copper with a gold handle goes with copper Moscow Mule mugs and the warm back bar of a hotel bar. Black with a silver handle goes with matt black barware and the dark fit-out of a speakeasy. Size and weight are the same: the look of the bar decides.
The mug jigger next to the other measures
For 30ml and 60ml with markings inside, there is the Lumian Japanese jigger, which also covers half measures. For the drink the shape comes from, there is the 350ml stainless steel mule mug. Every measure is in the jigger category.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
Care
The mug jigger is plated, so wash it by hand in warm water with a mild detergent and a soft sponge. Between measures a rinse in the bar sink is enough, as with any jigger. At the end of service dry it straight away with a cloth, inside as well, to keep the metal bright and free of water marks.
