The Vintage Pro jigger in two lines
The Vintage Pro is a professional double jigger with 30ml and 60ml cups in stainless steel, with inside markings at 15, 30, 45 and 60ml. Four measures in one tool, in the version with a vintage line.
Who it is for
For bars with a station in view that care about a consistent set of tools. The jigger is the piece the guest looks at most closely, because it is held still for two seconds at every measure, at eye level: on a bar built around a list of classics, a jigger with a period line completes the picture better than any other tool.
Four measures in two cups
Inside markings are what separate a serious jigger from a generic one. Without them the Vintage Pro would be a two-measure tool; with 15, 30, 45 and 60ml marked inside it covers almost every measure on a list by itself: 15 for bitters and syrups, 30 for modifiers, 45 for generous European-style bases, 60 for drinks built on two ounces. It is the most versatile size in the category.

The brim and the marking
They are two different ways of measuring and they are not equally precise. The brim is a physical reference nobody interprets: the cup is either full or it is not. A marking has to be read with the jigger at eye level, because from above the liquid looks higher than it is. With the Vintage Pro, work to the brim for 30 and 60 and use the markings for the rest, which is also how drinks come out the same when several people take turns at the bar.
What changes from the standard version
The measures are the same and so are the markings. The difference the supplier declares is the line, not the function, and that is what the difference in price pays for. Worth knowing before you choose: if you buy only to work, the standard model does the same job; if you also buy for how it looks on the bar, this one has a reason more.
Why the jigger is seen more than other tools
A shaker is in the hand for two seconds and moving; a bar spoon disappears into the glass. The jigger stays still, high up, in front of the guest for the whole measure, and it is the only tool the guest sees close up and not moving. That is why a well-made jigger shows precision before the drink is even ready, and why the Vintage Pro exists in a version made to be looked at.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
Care
Rinse straight away and dry. Hold it to the light now and then and run a soft bottle brush inside the cups when needed, so the full volume is there and the markings stay easy to read.
FAQ
How many measures does the Vintage Pro jigger have? Four: 15, 30, 45 and 60ml.
How does it differ from the standard Pro jigger? The capacities are identical: the line changes, not the function.
Does it match ounces? Yes: 30ml is one ounce and 60ml two, as rounded in everyday use.
How do I read the markings? With the jigger at eye level, not from above.
Is it dishwasher safe? Yes, it is stainless steel with no plating.
Is it a stamped measure for UK spirit sales? No. It is a jigger for cocktail specs; a single spirit sold by the glass in the UK needs a stamped measure or an optic.
