When colour becomes a mistake
It has to be said, because it is the risk that comes with the function. A saturated colour, bright green or purple, makes the bottles unrecognisable and turns the back bar into a sign: the effect is striking for five minutes and then works against you, because the guest can no longer read the labels and the bartender struggles to find the bottle. The practical rule is to keep saturated colours for specific moments and hold a light warm tone as the working setting.
Four tiers and organising the list
The stepped layout is there to keep every label readable, where on a flat shelf it would vanish behind the bottles in front. A metre with four tiers lets you order the selection by category and keep the most poured spirits on the low level, cutting movement during service. That ergonomic gain sits on top of the visual one.
Care
