ABS and polycarbonate stand the weather
They are two technical polymers that do not mind water, do not oxidise and do not mark the way paint does. Polycarbonate in particular is the material of equipment that stays outside for the whole season, because it takes knocks even at low temperatures. The other side is that a polymer counter weighs and costs less than a steel one but does not have the same rigidity across the working top, so it is not the place to muddle by hand for hours.
