The braked wheels for the Workstation Professional in two lines
The retractable wheel kit with brake for the Workstation Professional carries four braked swivel castors on brackets that clip under the counter, with no screws. They raise the top by only 2cm and stay out of sight from the front.
Who it is for
For anyone with the large model in the series, which is eighty kilos of assembled counter. It is the station on which wheels stop being an accessory: without them every move takes two people and some dismantling; with them one person shifts the loaded counter from one side of the room to the other while service carries on.
Eighty kilos on four wheels
The sum is simple and worth doing: the empty counter puts twenty kilos on each wheel, and with bottles, ice and full tubs it easily reaches double. A load like that on small, hard wheels catches in every joint and every threshold. The braked kit for the Professional runs on 75mm high-resistance polyurethane rubber wheels with a steel core, mounted on a 3mm folded bracket that flexes just enough to absorb the overloads. It is the trade-off between clearing a step and not raising the work surface: two centimetres more and nothing else.

The brake goes on before loading
On a 150cm counter with a sink and twenty-four bottles, an unintended movement is not an annoyance: it is a tray of glasses going over. All four castors swivel, so the station moves in any direction without manoeuvring, and for the same reason it has to be locked as soon as it reaches its place. The correct sequence is to move it into position empty, brake, then load bottles and ice.
Choose the braked kit for the Professional if
You work with the large model in the series and move it assembled, the rooms you work in change layout during the evening, or you are on your own at the load-in. The Comfort station has its own kit for that size, because the brackets follow each model’s frame and are not interchangeable.
The surface under the wheels counts as much as the wheels
On parquet, resin and tiles the polymer rubber runs and leaves no marks. On grass, gravel and sand no 75mm wheel works, and the counter has to be carried into position and then braked: retractable wheels are for moving it inside the room or on a platform, not for crossing a lawn. Knowing that first avoids the one recurring disappointment with this accessory.
They come off when they are not needed
The clip fitting works both ways, and on a station that stays put for a season the wheels come off in a minute. That is not a detail: a counter standing on its original feet is steadier than one on braked wheels, and in venues with uneven floors the difference tells on the work surface. The rule is to keep them on while the counter moves and take them off when it stops.
FAQ
How are the braked wheels for the Professional fitted? The station already has the fixing built in: you loosen the profile screws slightly and the brackets go in from below on the quick clip.
How much does the work surface rise? By 2cm, which does not change the ergonomics of the counter.
Do they hold the loaded counter? The supplier does not state a load rating per wheel: the kit is made for this model and is the one specified for its weight.
Can they be used on the Comfort model? No, the Comfort and Smart models take a different kit, which the maker of the series states is common to both.
Are the wheels visible from the front? No, they stay hidden under the structure.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
