The bar drip mat in two lines
The Bars bar drip mat is a 60 x 20cm mat in two pieces: a black rubber base and a stainless steel grid that rests on top of it. Shakers, jiggers and glasses work on the grid, and whatever drips ends up in the base.
Who it is for
For the cocktail bar that makes drinks in front of the guest and wants a working area that stays tidy in full view. For hotel bars and speakeasies, where the bar top is wood or marble and drips need stopping before they reach it. For event caterers who set up a station in twenty minutes and need a piece of kit that is laid down and goes to work.
At home it is the mat that keeps the top of the drinks cabinet dry while you make drinks for friends.

Why a bar drip mat with a steel grid
An all-rubber bar mat collects liquid between its raised studs, and the glasses stand in it. Ten drinks in, the base of the tumbler comes away wet and leaves a ring on the coaster or on the guest’s table. With the grid the glass stands on steel, above the level of the liquid, and goes out dry.
The second difference is stability. On studded rubber a thin-stemmed coupe sits on an uneven surface. The grid is a rigid, flat surface: the mixing glass does not tilt while the bar spoon is turning, and a full jigger stays upright.
The third is what the guest sees. The steel in front of the station is the same material as the shakers, strainers and jiggers, and the grid has an engraved motif at its centre. The black base frames it on all four sides.

Where it goes
Sixty centimetres is the width of a single bar station: an open Boston shaker, a mixing glass and two glasses in preparation fit side by side. Twenty centimetres of depth leaves the rest of the bar top free. A two-bartender bar puts one bar drip mat at each station, end to end, and the front stays continuous.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item. The discount applies automatically in the basket.
Care
At the end of service lift the grid, empty the base and wash both pieces in hot water with a mild detergent. Dry the steel with a cloth, which keeps it free of limescale marks. A soft sponge is all the grid needs.
Choose this one if
You serve in view of the guest and want a dry glass and a rigid surface under the tools. If catching drips in the prep area is enough, there is the 60 x 20cm all-rubber bar mat, which is the same base without the grid. Other sizes and the all-steel models are in the bar mats category.
With your logo, from 6 pieces
This mat is one of the items from The Bars that can be personalised. The minimum is 6 pieces of the same item, and you choose the technique on the personalisation page after uploading your logo file.
FAQ
Does the grid lift out? Yes. Grid and base are two separate pieces: they come apart for emptying and washing.
What size is the bar drip mat? 60cm wide by 20cm deep.
How does it differ from a rubber bar mat? In the grid: the glass stands on steel and stays clear of the liquid collected in the base.
Can it carry our venue’s logo? Yes, from 6 pieces of the same item, on the personalisation page.
