The 250ml bottle in two lines
This is the 250ml glass bottle with an airtight swing top, clip and gasket: 192mm tall, 64mm across. It keeps premixes at the station, ready to pour.
Who it is for
For anyone preparing ahead. A premix is a ready mix of two or more ingredients that always go in together in the same proportion, and replacing three bottles with one takes away two moves and two chances of getting it wrong on every drink. It is the simplest way to speed up a service without changing anything in the recipe.
A quarter of a litre is the station size
Two hundred and fifty millilitres fits the hand, goes into a speed rail and runs out over an evening, which is exactly what a premix needs: made in the day, finished in the day, with nothing left over to date and store. A larger bottle forces you to keep the mix open for days, and on premixes with fresh citrus juice that time is not there.

The airtight closure earns its place
An open premix loses aroma to evaporation, and what goes first is the most volatile part, the citrus and the aromatics: after a few hours an open mix is flatter than a closed one, even though the base taste is the same. The clip and gasket hold, which is why an airtight bottle is better than a bottle with a cap resting on top.
How it is washed, and here the supplier contradicts itself
The sheet says the product is dishwasher safe and in the same line that the clip and gasket are not. The correct reading is the second: the glass goes into the machine with no trouble, and the clip and gasket come off and are washed by hand, because heat and industrial detergents harden the rubber and stop it sealing. It is a ten second precaution that adds years to the closure.
What goes in it
Spirit premixes, house syrups, strained juices, infusions. On mixes with a fresh element it pays to write the date on the label: squeezed citrus juice loses quality within hours, while a sugar syrup holds for days. No bottle can tell you that on its own, which is why the dated label is part of the system.
Glass and not plastic
Because a spirit premix sits in contact with the container for hours, and glass is the only material that gives up nothing and takes up nothing. Food grade plastics handle short use perfectly well, but with high strength alcohol and the essential oils of citrus, prolonged contact leaves a trace in both directions. A glass bottle removes the problem, in exchange for a little weight and the fragility glass carries with it.
