The Erema champagne bucket in two lines
The Erema is an 8 litre Lumian bowl, shaped like a coupe on a turned foot. It is 25cm tall, 40cm across the top and 19cm across the base, and weighs 1kg. It is made from 18/10 stainless steel; the copper and gold finishes are plated on the same steel. Two oval openings on the sides of the bowl act as handles.
Who it is for
For hotels and cocktail bars that serve sparkling wine by the bottle: the table ordering a second bottle while the first is still open, the private room taking three at once, the reception with a toast at the same moment for everyone. A one-bottle bucket per order means three buckets to fill, three trips to the ice and three spaces taken on the table. In the Erema the bottles share the same ice and the server makes one trip.
At home it is the champagne bucket for celebrations: a New Year’s dinner, a birthday, drinks on the terrace with several bottles to keep ready. In the middle of the table, it also serves as a centrepiece.
How a bowl-shaped champagne bucket works
A cylindrical bucket holds one bottle upright and snug: fine for one. A wide bowl does a different job. The 40cm opening leaves room for several necks resting on the rim, and the 25cm height keeps each bottle in ice up to the shoulders. A bottle comes out and goes back without moving the others.
The foot lifts the bowl off the table. Condensation forming on the outside runs down to the foot rather than soaking the tablecloth straight away, and the bowl can be lifted by the two oval handles even when full of water and ice. The 19cm base keeps the full bowl steady, even when a bottle is drawn from one side only.

Which finish
Silver is the steel itself and goes with any bar counter and any table setting. Copper and gold are plated: choose them when the rest of the mise en place is already in that colour, copper Moscow Mule mugs or the gold tools of a hotel bar, so the champagne bucket joins the same line.

Care
At the end of service, empty it, wash in hot water with a mild detergent and dry straight away inside and out with a soft cloth, to keep the steel bright and free of water marks. Use a soft sponge on the copper and gold finishes. The manufacturer does not declare it dishwasher safe.
