The Stack stackable old fashioned in two lines
The Stack stackable old fashioned is a 320ml glass, 95mm tall, with an anti-jamming system between one piece and the next and a limescale drain in the base. Packs of six. It is the only model in the category designed around a space problem rather than a presentation one.
Who it is for
For anyone short of room behind the bar, and for anyone taking glasses out to events. Stackability is the specification this model exists for, and the anti-jamming system is what makes it usable in practice rather than in theory: without it, a stackable glass is a glass that breaks in a new way.
The known fault of stackables, and how it is solved
Stackable glasses jam. Two pieces locked inside one another come apart by force, and by force they break, usually cutting the hand of whoever tries: it is one of the most common injuries behind a bar. The anti-jamming system leaves a minimal gap between one glass and the next, so the column comes apart without resistance and without the sharp jolt that breaks the rim. The maker also states a limescale drain in the base, which is the detail that counts where the water is hard: without it, water standing in the hollow of the base dries and leaves the white film that then has to come off by hand, piece by piece.
How much space you actually gain
It shows in two places, and it can be measured. On the back bar shelf, where keeping twice the glasses on the same level means fewer trips to the store during service; and in the dishwasher basket, where a stackable load puts more pieces through per cycle. For catering and events the gain is sharper still, because the volume carried is half for the same set. 320ml stays at the low edge of the double old fashioned: comfortable with two or three cubes, tight with a 5cm large cube.

Choose the Stack stackable old fashioned if
Space is your constraint, or the glasses travel for events and catering. If the bar counter has room to spare and you are mainly after presence on the table, non-stackable models have more freedom of shape and pattern.
How to stack them without spoiling them
Dry, always. Two glasses put one inside the other while still wet trap water between the walls, and that closed damp leaves marks that come off by hand one at a time. Keep the column low: even with the anti-jamming system, too tall a stack concentrates the weight on the rim of the bottom piece, which is the most fragile part of the glass.
Care
Dishwasher with no trouble, and the drain in the base helps during the cycle itself, because it stops the standing water that leaves limescale. Dry fully before stacking, as above.
FAQ
Does the Stack stackable old fashioned glass jam like ordinary glasses? No, it has an anti-jamming system that leaves a minimal gap between pieces: the column comes apart without forcing.
What is the limescale drain for? It stops water standing in the hollow of the base during washing, which is what leaves the white film.
Does a large cube fit? It goes in, but at 320ml it leaves little room for liquid. For a 5cm cube a size from 340ml up is better.
How many can be stacked in a column? The anti-jamming system sets no technical limit, but keep the stacks low: the weight rests on the rim of the bottom piece, which is the most fragile part.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 packs -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
