The braked wheels for the Workstation Comfort in two lines
The retractable wheel kit with brake for the Workstation Comfort is made up of four braked swivel castors, mounted on retractable brackets that clip under the counter, with no screws. They raise the work surface by only 2cm and stay out of sight from the front.
Who it is for
For anyone who has to move fifty kilos of assembled counter on their own, and that happens far more often than anyone plans for: the spot allocated is not the one from the site visit, the wind turns, the sun reaches the wrong side, the room has to be cleared for dancing. Without wheels every move is a dismantling; with wheels it is a push.
Two centimetres, and why that is the number that matters
A work surface sits at 85cm from the floor because that is the height at which the forearm stays parallel to the ground while you shake and pour. Raising it by ten centimetres, as any trolley castor would, means working with your shoulders lifted for five hours, and you feel it the next day. The braked kit for the Comfort is built to add two: the working height stays effectively the same, and the counter still lines up with the other modules in the series.

A brake on all four is not redundancy
A counter on free castors moves when you do not want it to: leaning on the top is enough, or shaking hard. With four swivel castors the counter travels in every direction, which is why it slips into tight spaces without manoeuvring; but for that very reason, once it is in position it has to be locked. A brake on each wheel is what turns a trolley into a counter that stays put, and it goes on before the bottles are loaded, not after.
Choose the braked kit for the Comfort if
The station has to be moved assembled, you often work alone, or the venue has smooth floors and narrow routes. If your model is the Professional, there is a kit made for that size: the brackets follow each model’s frame, so the kit is not interchangeable.
The bracket that flexes, and why it is the important part
The wheel is high-resistance polyurethane rubber with a steel core, so it leaves no marks on pale floors and clears tile joints. But the part that decides how long it lasts is the bracket: 3mm folded steel with a flex calculated to absorb overloads, which are the shocks the counter takes going over a loading threshold. Without that give, the shocks would go straight into the station’s frame. The bearing runs on steel balls lubricated with anti-corrosion material, and that is what keeps the 360 degree rotation after a season of damp.
FAQ
How are the braked wheels for the Comfort fitted? Every station in the series has the fixing built in: you loosen the profile screws slightly and the brackets go in from below on the quick clip.
How much do they raise the top? By 2cm, so the working height stays the one the counter was designed for.
Are they visible from the front? No, the wheels stay hidden under the structure: from outside the counter is still a counter.
How many wheels are there? Four, all swivel and all braked, 75mm in diameter.
Do they fit the Professional model? No, that has its own kit. They do fit the Smart model: the maker of the series states the kit is the same.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
