The Aria champagne coupe in two lines
The Aria champagne coupe is a 330ml coupe in Luxion crystal glass, 170mm tall and 114mm wide, in packs of six. It is the largest in the whole category, and the name tells you its purpose before the specifications do.
Who it is for
For bars serving sparkling wine and sparkling cocktails in a coupe. 11cm across is a wide surface: for sparkling wine alone the coupe is an aesthetic, openly period choice, because it loses the bubbles faster than a flute, but for a sparkling cocktail with a share of spirit it is the glass that takes a serious volume without reaching the rim.
330ml: when it is right and when it is not
It is worth being clear, because this is where the most common mistake is made. A stirred Martini comes to about 90ml once diluted and a shaken Daiquiri to about 120ml: in a 330ml coupe a drink like that would barely cover the bottom, and the guest would read it as a mean serve even when the spec is correct. This size makes sense for long drinks in a coupe, spritzes served up and sparkling wine cocktails, where the volume is really there. For short classics served up you need the 150 to 190ml of a Nick & Nora, or at most a coupe of 200 to 250ml.

Choose the Aria champagne coupe if
You serve sparkling wine, spritzes in a coupe and sparkling cocktails. For short classics served up, a size between 150 and 220ml keeps the drink cold for longer and does not make it look small.
Why the stem matters more than it seems
On a glass without ice the stem is not a flourish: it is the only way to stop the hand warming the drink. A drink served up reaches the table at the temperature it has, and from there it can only rise, so every touch of the palm shortens its life. On a coupe this wide the rule counts twice, because the surface exposed to the air is already large: hold it by the stem, always, and chill the coupe before pouring.
Six glasses and sparkling wine service
Six coupes cover an aperitivo station, not a full floor service. Size the stock of the Aria champagne coupe on the peak: if sparkling drinks go out in waves, as they do on the aperitivo shift, six glasses run out before the wash cycle ends. Bars working in volume keep at least two packs of the same coupe, so service stays even while the machine is running.
Care
Luxion goes through the dishwasher without clouding. The delicate point with stemmed glasses is loading: space them in the rack so they do not touch during the cycle, and lift them by the base once it is free of the rack rather than by the bowl. That is what keeps the stems whole.
FAQ
Does the Aria coupe work for a cocktail served up? Only for drinks with volume, such as a spritz or a sparkling wine cocktail. A Martini or a Daiquiri would sit in the bottom.
How wide is it? 114mm across, the widest in the category.
Does Luxion crystal contain lead? No, it is lead-free crystal glass.
Can I chill it in the freezer? Yes, and it is the right practice: on a drink without ice, the glass is the only store of cold.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 packs -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
