Flavour Blaster Bubble X in two lines
This is the 180ml bubble solution, formulated for food use: dip the gun’s nozzle in it and the vapour inflates the film. One bottle makes up to 1,000 bubbles.
Who it is for
For anyone using the gun to make bubbles and not just clouds. Without the solution the gun blows flavoured vapour that fades in a few seconds: the film is what holds it and makes it visible.
A thousand bubbles per bottle
This is the figure that makes the consumable cheaper to run than it looks: 180ml seems little, but each bubble uses a tiny amount. For a venue serving ten drinks with a bubble every night, one bottle of Bubble X lasts more than three months. It is worth doing that sum before deciding the gun is too demanding on materials. Once placed, the bubble holds for up to three minutes: it is served straight away, not made in advance.

Specifications
- Size: 180ml
- Stated yield: up to 1,000 bubbles
- Bubble life: up to 3 minutes, as stated by the maker
- Formulation: for food use
- Use: dip the nozzle before each bubble
How to use it
Pour the solution into a shallow, wide bowl, dip the nozzle just enough to wet it all round, and press the trigger holding the gun over the glass. The film forms on the nozzle, the vapour inflates it and the bubble releases. If it does not form, the nozzle was almost always dipped too little, or the solution was old and had thickened.
Why it has to be a dedicated solution
Because the bubble lands on something that will be drunk, so the product must be formulated for food use: it is a question of what it touches, not of performance. Any detergent might make better bubbles, and that is exactly why it cannot be used. Bubble X is stated for food use, and that is the reason to buy it rather than improvise.
How to store it
Closed and out of the light, pouring into the working bowl only for service. Left uncovered, the solution evaporates and concentrates: it thickens and stops forming even films, and the bubbles come out small or not at all. Wash the working bowl and fill it fresh each time rather than topping it up.
The bottleneck in service
A bubble takes a few seconds, but the nozzle has to be wet every time: on a fast service that repeated move is the real limit of the system. Bartenders who bubble many drinks keep the bowl within reach, in the same spot every night, as they do with the jigger.
The bowl to pour it into
Low and wide, not tall: it lets you wet the nozzle all round with a short movement, while a narrow glass forces you to dip the gun deep. A small mise en place ramekin works well, filled only a little: the solution in the working bowl picks up whatever passes over the bar top, so pour enough for one night, not for a week.
How much you really use
A tiny amount per bubble, which is what lets 180ml reach the stated count. The real waste is not in use but in evaporation of what stays uncovered at the end of the shift, and pouring the leftover back into the bottle brings residues back with it. The practical rule with Bubble X: pour a little, use it and discard what is left.
