PET, lighter than porcelain

Post-consumer recycled PET is the material APS declares for the Friendly collection, and it is recyclable at the end of its life. The plastic is rigid and lighter than porcelain and thick melamine. A full tray weighs less on the wrist. When a dish hits the floor it does not break up: it is picked up and returned to the wash.

The venue sees it twice. A spilled tray does not close the route between tables for five minutes. And because small tableware is what goes missing first, the reorder matters: APS keeps the same code in the catalogue, the same shape comes back, and there are never two different sets in use.

Care

The manufacturer declares the dishes dishwasher safe, and they share a rack with the glasses. APS excludes the microwave: the dish is not for heating. They stack, so the six in a pack leave the wash as one pile and sit on the back bar shelf beside the coasters.
