The Islande highball glass in two lines

Choose the Islande if
You serve two-ingredient drinks in volume and want a slim line. For long built drinks, with more components and plenty of ice, you need 390ml or more, or you are always working at the rim.
Ice in a column this tall
A collins ice spear is the natural choice: a long block goes straight down, fills the glass in height and has less surface exposed than a handful of cubes of the same volume, so it gives up less water. In an 18cm glass small cubes pile up at the bottom and leave the top empty, which is the quickest way to make a drink look thin.
