The plastic portable bar in two lines
The polypropylene Easy bar is the plastic version of the Easy portable bar: 100cm across the front, four interlocking parts, five minutes to assemble without tools, and it can be put back together ten times. It comes with two ice wells, in black or white.
Who it is for
This plastic portable bar is for anyone who takes the bar out more than three times. Cardboard covers a weekend fair or a garden party; from four events upwards the sums change, because a bar that goes back together ten times costs less per event than three bars that go back together three times. Event caterers, beach clubs with an evening service, bartending schools, anyone running events every month: that is who this model is for.
Ten reassemblies, and what that means in money
The maker declares ten reassemblies for the polypropylene Easy bar. Divide the price by ten and you have the cost per event, with a bar that on its tenth outing still has the shape it had on the first. Cardboard is cheaper to buy and dearer to use: the difference between the two is not the quality of the piece, it is how many times you open it. The cardboard Easy portable bar station page has the cost per event, worked out in ten seconds from the number of outings you plan.

The same interlocking design as the cardboard version, in a material water does not touch
The four parts are the same as in the cardboard version: two side panels, the work top with the recesses for the ice wells, and the service top. They slot together by hand, without screws, and the bar stands on its own because each part locks the next. Polypropylene changes one thing only, but it is the one that matters behind a bar: melting ice, a knocked-over glass and rain on a terrace do not affect it. Wipe it down and start again.
The ice wells stay, even when the bar is finished
The two ice wells of the polypropylene Easy bar, in food-grade polypropylene, 8 and 5 litres, are included and are not part of the bar itself: they are bar equipment. On the tenth outing, when the bar is retired, the wells move on to the next bar, or to the kitchen. On a product designed to be used up, they are the part that is not.
One hundred centimetres, or two hundred, or five hundred
One 100cm module is one bartender’s station. Two modules side by side make 200cm, two stations with the wells in the middle; five modules make the front of a festival bar. The modules butt up side by side and, with the joining caps, become one continuous top. Buy the first this season and add the second next season, in the same colour.
Black or white, and which suits whom
Black suits evening service and event lighting, where a light-coloured bar looks dirty before it is. White is for the function room, the wedding and the trade fair stand, where the bar needs to disappear behind the bottles. The price is the same.
What it does not do
It will not take a person sitting on the top the way a steel bar will: the declared load is 80kg, enough for bottles, full ice wells and tools, not for sitting on. It has no sink, tap or lighting: for those you need the steel workstations in the same category. And it is not a bar to leave standing outdoors for a season: it goes up for service and comes down afterwards.
FAQ
How many times can the polypropylene Easy bar be reassembled? Ten, according to the maker. It depends on how it is handled in transport, but that is the number to put in your sums.
Are the ice wells included? Yes, two in food-grade polypropylene, 8 and 5 litres, and they stay usable after the bar.
How much does it weigh? The maker has not yet declared the weight of the plastic version; we will add it as soon as we have it. The cardboard version weighs 7kg.
Can this portable bar be used outdoors? Yes, polypropylene is not affected by water or ice. Take it down at the end of service rather than leaving it standing in the wind.
Can it sit next to the cardboard version? Yes, they are the same width and height. For an even front, keep to the same material and colour.
