The Tattoo engraved cocktail goblet in two lines
The Tattoo is a 290ml goblet in Luxion eco crystal with the elaborate engraving that gives the line its name, in packs of six. It sits at the top of the short band and carries the densest pattern of the category.
Who it is for
For a bar that wants the goblet to be part of the presentation. On a stemmed glass the decoration works harder than on a tumbler, for a simple reason: the bowl is lifted off the surface, so light passes through it from several directions instead of arriving only from above. A dense pattern on a goblet is seen from across the room and from every angle.
Dense engraving and the contents
The rule of all worked glassware holds, with one qualification for goblets. On a clear drink served up the decoration competes very little, because there is not much liquid and the rest of the bowl is empty: the engraving works on the upper part and hides nothing. On a cobbler packed with crushed ice and fruit, on the other hand, the decoration piles onto contents that are already crowded, and the result is a glass in which nothing can be told apart. The Tattoo line gives its best on clean drinks, not on built ones.

Choose the Tattoo goblet if
You serve clear drinks in a goblet and want a glass people recognise. For cobblers packed with crushed ice and fruit, a plain goblet or one with linear cuts lets the contents be read instead of adding to them.
Two hundred and ninety millilitres: how much gets used
With a cocktail served up it fills less than half, which is normal at this size: a wide bowl is there to give the glass presence, not to hold more. With crushed ice, on the other hand, you reach the rim. As always the declared capacity is not the working capacity: on a wide goblet the real service sits around half, and anyone who wants a visually full bowl should come down in size rather than raise the measure.
Care
Luxion takes the dishwasher without clouding, but the denser the decoration the more it holds: with syrups, fruit and sweet liqueurs the rinse before the cycle is not optional, because dried sugar inside the engraving only comes out by hand. Load well spaced, as with every goblet.
When decoration helps you sell
On a list where the drinks resemble each other, the glass is one of the few ways to make a difference in price felt. A Tattoo goblet costs more than a plain one and it looks as though it costs more: on a signature at full price that perception works for you. On a service drink, though, it is a cost the guest does not notice, and that is where a simple model belongs.
FAQ
Does the Tattoo goblet work for cobblers with fruit? It does, but the dense engraving adds to contents that are already crowded: on clear drinks it gives far more.
Does it need particular lighting? The engraving works by refraction: on a lit bar it gives its best.
Is it the same line as the Tattoo old fashioned? The same family of engraving, a completely different shape.
Does it contain lead? No, it is lead-free eco crystal.
How full does it really get? With a drink served up, around half: a wide bowl is for presence, not for quantity.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 packs -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
