Who it is for

Why the Melodia flute keeps the bubbles
The tall, narrow bowl of a flute exposes little surface to the air: the bubbles rise for longer and the wine loses less carbon dioxide in the minutes it sits in the glass. 160ml is the size of a glass of sparkling wine at the bar, a 100-120ml serve with room for the mousse. The long stem keeps the hand away from the wine, which stays cold.

Six glasses and the Melodia line
RCR sells the Melodia flute in packs of six, and so do we. A bar serving sparkling wine by the glass keeps two or three packs, so there is always a clean round ready while the other is in the wash.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 packs -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.

Luxion glass
Luxion is RCR’s patented glass: clear, brilliant, it rings when tapped and it is recyclable. It goes through the dishwasher without clouding, which for a cut glass is the difference between a service that stays bright and one that looks worn after a month. Load the flute in the stemware rack, stem upwards, and dry it with a microfibre cloth if the water leaves marks.
How to serve in the Melodia flute
The glass should be cold but not frozen: condensation on the glass hides the cut. Pour with the flute tilted, in two stages, so the mousse does not rise over the rim. Always hold it by the stem.
