For anyone who wants a complete, matching station without going up to the eight piece kit. Seven basic tools from the Lumian line, in gold plated stainless steel.
Behind the bar
Seven pieces cover the whole of the daily work: the glass mixing glass and the strainer for stirred drinks, the Boston with half tin for shaken ones, the jigger to measure, the bar spoon to stir, the bottle opener for the rest. It is the minimum kit that leaves nothing uncovered.
Gold plating earns its place when the bar is on show and the lights are warm: the reflection is strong and the tools become part of the scene. Under cold light it gives less, so it is worth looking at the lighting before choosing the finish over bare steel, which costs noticeably less.

Easy Kit or the full Bartender Kit
The Easy Kit has seven pieces and includes the mixing glass. The Lumian Bartender Kit has eight, with a Parisienne and a cobbler in place of the Boston, and it adds a julep strainer and garnish tongs. Anyone working mostly on stirred drinks prefers the first, for the mixing glass.
The jigger is 25/50, which matters here
Twenty five and fifty millilitres are the measures a British bar works in, unlike the Japanese 30/60. The inner markings at 15, 25 and 45ml cover the in between amounts on a built spec. It is a jigger for cocktail specs and not a stamped measure for single spirits.
Care
The gold plating does not go in the dishwasher, where it dulls in patches that do not come back. Hand wash with a neutral soap and dry straight away, on the metal and on the glass mixing glass alike.
