The injector tips set in two lines
This is the injector tips set for a siphon: an assortment that holds long injecting tips, from 3mm up, and shaped nozzles for drawing the foam.
Who it is for
For anyone with a siphon who wants to do more than one thing with it. The tip supplied with the siphon dispenses and nothing else; with the assortment you move from laying foam down to drawing it and injecting it inside a food.
Two different jobs
The long narrow tips inject: they go inside a fruit, a dessert or a preparation and release the foam within, where it stays out of sight until it is cut or bitten. The shaped nozzles draw: the foam comes out with a form, so the surface of a drink can be finished with a pattern rather than a shapeless cloud. The set covers both trades, and it is the piece that turns a siphon from a dispenser into a finishing tool.

What changes in the drink
Foam laid at random over a cocktail is foam; the same foam drawn in a regular pattern is a finish. The difference is a few seconds more and it changes how the price reads, exactly as a well cut garnish does against a slice thrown on the rim. With the injector tips set the shape becomes repeatable, which is the condition for it ending up on a menu instead of staying an improvisation.
A narrow bore wants a mix with no lumps
The narrower the tip, the more the mix has to be strained: in a 3mm injector even a tiny fibre makes a blockage. The general siphon rule applies, with more severity: fine strainer before charging, always, no exceptions.
When it is worth buying
When the siphon is already in use and foam has settled into a couple of drinks on the list. The injector tips set is a second level accessory: it is not needed to start, it is needed when you want the foam to do something precise instead of sitting on top of the glass. At that point it is also the cheapest of the pieces that genuinely change the result in the glass.
How they go on and come off
They screw onto the head in place of the standard tip, and they are changed only with the siphon discharged. Changing a tip with the siphon under pressure means having an open route out while you unscrew, which is exactly the situation to avoid on a pressurised vessel.
Care
Soak in hot water straight after use and run a brush through the narrow section: cream and fatty mixes dry inside the channel and on a 3mm tip the blockage arrives fast. Dry fully before putting the set away, because small pieces in a closed case stay damp a long time.
FAQ
What is the injector tips set for? For injecting foam inside a food and for drawing it on top of a drink.
What bore does the long injector have? Three millimetres.
Do they fit any siphon? On a standard head, yes: they screw on in place of the supplied tip.
Can they be changed with the siphon charged? No, never: discharge all the pressure first.
How are they cleaned? Soaking in hot water and a brush through the narrow section, straight after use.
Why do they block? Because the mix was not strained: with narrow bores a fine strainer is compulsory.
The more you buy, the less you pay: 4 pieces -5%, 6 -7%, 8 -10%, on the same item.
