Gift card 500 euro: why a station is built to measure
Because five hundred euro no longer buys tools, it buys parts of the station. A bottle display, a drop-in workstation, a leather bag: choices that depend on the measurements of the counter, the space under the top and how the back bar is laid out. The person giving does not have those figures, the person receiving does.
Who buys it
This is the size for the important occasions between professionals, and for end of year company awards. It has an advantage a generic voucher does not: the person receiving it buys tools of the trade, so the gift produces something instead of being consumed.
It also works as a contribution. Anyone fitting out a venue has a long list and a short budget: five hundred euro of credit against a list already written is worth more than an object chosen from outside.

How the credit is used
The code goes in at the time of the order and the credit comes off the total. It is not a discount: the money is already paid, so it counts across the whole catalogue, promotions included, and it covers delivery too.
- What you do not spend stays on the card. It gets used on another order, and another after that, while there is credit left.
- The credit does not expire. No date, no rush to spend it.
- More than one gift card can be used on the same order.
- If the credit covers everything, you choose Gift card at the checkout and there is nothing left to pay. If it covers part, the difference is paid with the usual checkout methods.
- It belongs to whoever holds the code: the person receiving it does not need an account to spend it.
Anyone who does have an account adds the code on the Gift card page of their profile, and from there sees what is left and where it has been used.
VAT
Five hundred euro paid is five hundred euro of credit. No VAT is applied to the card: it is paid on what you buy, as on any order. That is why the price on the page is exactly the value of the card.
