Cocktail Glasses
Tumblers
The tumbler is the glass that works all evening: gin and tonic, mojito, cuba libre, long soft drinks. The catalogue runs from 330ml to 530ml, and it is almost always bought in packs of 6. The number that counts is not the price of the case but the price of the single glass, because that is what you buy again each time one breaks.

Tumblers are bought by the case, and paid for in breakages
On this shelf the price shown says little. Nineteen lines out of twenty come in packs, usually of 6, and what sets the cost of a season is a different number: the price of a single glass. Across the range the gap between the cheapest and the dearest glass is wide, for an object that does the same job.
Replacement is the real cost
A tumbler does not break from a defect, it breaks because it works. It falls off the tray, knocks against the rack, chips on the edge of the sink. Nobody counts it at the time of buying, yet it is the cost that keeps coming back: a venue that serves every night reorders the same line two or three times a year.
So the right question is not which glass looks best, but which one will still be in the catalogue in eight months. Replacing 6 glasses from a line that is still available is a small reorder. Replacing a discontinued one means changing the whole set, so you do not serve two shapes at the same table.
Capacity follows the drink, not taste
| Capacity | What it holds |
|---|---|
| 330 and 350ml | Alcohol-free serves, soft drinks, short long drinks |
| 360 and 390ml | The working size: G&T, Mojito, Cuba Libre |
| 430 and 490ml | G&T with botanicals, drinks with plenty of fruit |
| 500 and 530ml | Generous serves, a lot of ice |
Below 350ml the ice does not fit, and without enough ice the drink waters down sooner rather than later. It is the most common mistake when buying by eye from the photo.
The same glass costs less elsewhere
Often true, and worth saying. Service lines are category standards, and the same glassworks makes them for everyone. What changes the sum is the pack size. The same line in a case of 12 costs less per glass than in a pack of 4. If you need a full set, look at the number of glasses before the price.
The other thing that changes is the glass. Tempered glass handles the temperature swings of the rack, and when it fails it breaks into small fragments rather than shards. On a glass that goes through four wash cycles a day, that is not a line on a price list: it is how often you buy it again.
If you need it for the weekend
The stock shown on the product page is what is in the warehouse, and you see it before you order. If the line you need is out of stock, message us on WhatsApp: we will tell you which other line has the same capacity and pack size, so your set stays matched.
The rest of the glassware
For spirit-led cocktails served short there are Old Fashioned glasses, for drinks served without ice there are coupes, and for the aperitivo there are stemmed glasses. Where glass is a risk there are unbreakable Rock glasses.
Frequently asked questions
What does a tumbler cost per glass?
The price shown is almost always for the pack, usually of 6, so to compare two lines you need to divide. That is the figure that matters, because you buy the glass again every time one breaks.
What capacity do you need for a G&T?
From 360ml up, and 430ml is better with botanicals and plenty of ice. Below 350ml the ice does not fit, and with little ice the drink warms up and waters down sooner. Capacity is a technical choice, not a matter of looks.
Packs of 6 or cases of 12?
The case of 12 costs less per glass, but it only makes sense if that line is your main set. For secondary shapes a pack of 6 is enough and saves storage space. The rule of thumb: 12 for what goes out every night, 6 for the rest.
Do bar tumblers survive a commercial glass washer?
Service lines do, which is why they carry that name. Tempered glass handles the temperature swings of the rack and, when it breaks, goes into small fragments rather than long shards. Ordinary tableware glass does not last at four cycles a day.
How do you avoid ending up with mismatched shapes?
Choose a line that stays in the catalogue and reorder that one. When a line is discontinued we say so in advance, so you have time to stock up instead of finding out on the day you need six.
